Position title: Full-time Music Teacher
Reports to: Principal, PYP Coordinator for IB issues
Main Purpose: implement the pedagogies of the IB Primary Years Programme in the classroom to ensure each student’s healthy learning and growth
Key relationships: PYP Coordinator, other homeroom/specialist teachers and administrative staff

Working hours: 7:45am - 4:00pm (7:45am – 4:30pm on Thursday and 7:45 – 3:30pm on Friday. Subject to change in 2027)
Working days: Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday
Holidays; with some exceptions to work if a school event falls on either of these days:
a. Saturdays and Sundays, b. Japanese national holidays stipulated by law, c. Scheduled summer school holiday, winter school holiday, spring school holiday, EXCEPT;
• Final one-week of spring school holiday, before starting the first school term
• First one-week of summer holiday
• Final three days of summer holiday, before starting the second school term
actual dates specified in c. shall be determined by the school
Contract starts: 1 April 2027, or earlier
Contract term: 1 April 2027, or earlier - March 31, 2028 (renewable yearly)
Remuneration: 3,000,000 ~ 5,000,000 yen per year, depending on experience and skills
Transportation costs covered up to 30,000 yen per month
Insurance: Social (Health, Pension, Unemployment)
