BASIS International School Shenzhen is seeking an English Language Arts Teacher for Middle School for the 2027–2028 school year, starting Fall 2027.
The teacher will develop students’ language and social-science foundations through writing, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary and rhetorical analysis. The role includes designing rigorous lessons, collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning, building meaningful relationships with students, promoting academic achievement and personal responsibility, and contributing to a positive school community.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, literature or a closely related subject
• At least two years of lead classroom teaching experience, required for the work visa
• Strong collaboration skills and commitment to rigorous international education
• Ongoing participation in professional development
This is a full-time, fixed-term position. Applications close July 29, 2027.
Annual salary: USD $55,000–$65,000, based on education and experience.
