Vinschool is seeking dynamic, dedicated and professionally certified expatriate ESL teachers for primary, secondary or high-school levels (Grades 1–12) in Hanoi and Hung Yen.
Key responsibilities:
• Teach English as a Foreign or Additional Language according to the school curriculum.
• Prepare curriculum, lesson plans, teaching materials, classroom instruction and activities.
• Adapt teaching methods, learning strategies and resources to students’ varying needs and interests.
• Assess attainment, monitor academic progress and provide relevant feedback.
• Establish classroom expectations and observe student performance, behaviour, social development and wellbeing.
• Communicate with teachers, parents and guardians about progress and academic or behavioural issues.
• Prepare and implement remedial programmes for students requiring additional support.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events and extracurricular activities.
• Carry out other professional duties assigned by school leadership.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education plus TEFL, TESOL or CELTA; or PGCE, teaching licence or equivalent plus a bachelor’s degree and TEFL, TESOL or CELTA.
• Non-education bachelor’s degrees with only TEFL/TESOL/CELTA are not sufficient without a professional teaching credential.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience.
• English proficiency at C1 level or higher; evidence is required for non-native speakers.
• Strong presentation, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, classroom-management and teamwork skills.
• Applicants may be asked to deliver a live demonstration lesson or provide a sample 35–45 minute lesson plan.
• Appointment is subject to satisfactory references, identity, qualification and police-background checks.
• Salary: USD 2,100 per month.
