Aoba-Japan International School is seeking a Founding Head of School for its new Kanazawa campus, starting April 2027. Reporting to the Group Head of Schools, the successful candidate will shape the school's culture, curriculum, team and systems from the ground up with support from the wider Aoba School Group. Desirable experience includes founding or substantially growing a school, accreditation or authorisation work, international-school leadership, experience in Japan, and English/Japanese bilingual capability.
Monthly salary: JPY 660,000-1,000,000, negotiated according to experience. The support package may include relocation and visa assistance, housing allowance, Japanese medical insurance and pension arrangements, and professional leadership development.
