BASIS International School Hangzhou is seeking a Humanities Teacher for Lower Primary for the 2027–28 school year, starting Fall 2027. The Subject Expert Teacher will lead engaging humanities and language-arts learning while collaborating with a Learning Enhancement Teacher in a co-teaching model.
The curriculum includes early reading and writing, reading comprehension, the writing process, world and American history, and foundational geographic awareness. The teacher will connect learning across subjects, build meaningful student relationships, guide academic achievement and personal responsibility, pursue professional growth, and contribute to a collaborative school community.
Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in their subject area; Elementary or Early Education degrees are highly valued. At least two years of lead classroom teaching experience is required for the working visa. Salary is USD 55,000–65,000 per year. Applications close 29 July 2027.
