Osaka International School of Kwansei Gakuin is seeking a part-time Japanese Language Acquisition Teacher to provide leave cover beginning as soon as possible after late August 2026.
Responsibilities:
• Teach MYP Japanese to Grades 6–10 across emergent, proficient, and Japanese A/native-level groups.
• Teach DP Japanese B Higher Level to Grades 11–12.
• Plan units and assess students collaboratively with other MYP and DP teachers.
• Support students’ academic learning, wellbeing, and participation in school life.
• Understand and support the school’s Two Schools Together philosophy.
Qualifications and experience:
• Knowledge and experience with IB MYP/DP Japanese curricula and assessment are preferred.
• International-school experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Candidates must already live within commuting distance of the school in Japan.
Schedule and contract:
• 17 lessons per week, Monday through Friday.
• Initial contract for the Fall trimester, with possible extension by mutual agreement.
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the vacancy may close once filled.
• Appropriate compensation calculated according to the assigned teaching load.
• Paid school holiday periods.
• Commuting allowance.
