Yongsan International School of Seoul is hiring a full-time Substitute Teacher to provide instructional and non-instructional support across its Elementary, Middle, and High School divisions.
The teacher serves as a flexible schoolwide resource and receives daily classroom or grade-level assignments according to divisional needs. When not actively substituting, the employee supports instructional delivery, supervision, organization, classroom preparation, academic support, and school events.
Key responsibilities:
• Implement lesson plans supplied by classroom teachers
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment conducive to learning
• Use effective classroom-management practices and build positive rapport with students
• Guide students toward curriculum goals and learning objectives
• Coordinate daily assignments and materials with divisional offices and administrators
• Support student supervision, cross-divisional activities, and departmental initiatives
• Provide operational or instructional assistance when no substitute assignment is scheduled
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Current state or provincial teaching credential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Adaptability across multiple student age groups
• Basic technical skills, including Microsoft Office
