Rugby School Japan is recruiting a full-time, fixed-term Teacher of English as an Additional Language, starting January 2027 in Kashiwa, Chiba.
Teach within the KS3 intensive English programme for Years 7–9, helping multilingual pupils access a British curriculum. Plan differentiated lessons, assess progress, maintain learning records and collaborate with colleagues. The role includes pastoral tutoring and co-curricular duties within a day and boarding school.
Applicants should hold a good honours degree plus an EAL qualification such as CELTA or a relevant PGCE, and have significant EAL teaching experience. QTS and familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE ESL/EAL are advantageous.
