American School in Taichung (AST) is a nonprofit international school in Taichung’s Beitun District serving students in Grades 1–12. Founded in 1989, the school provides an American-style college-preparatory curriculum and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Its programs include Advanced Placement courses, athletics, arts, robotics and Model United Nations, including the student-led TAIMUN conference.
