Worked at Branksome for two years. High workload. Very high. Great package. Hated the school don't know anyone who enjoyed it. We had a number of teachers break contract while I was there, many did their two years and left. Student body is probably 93% Korean, 4% Chinese and the rest are faculty students. English language is a big problem, especially at Branksome which is IB and promotes discussion. Jeju itself is beautiful and there are lots of outdoors things to do. From the lava tubes caves, to going to Udo to hiking Hallasan or trekking around the entire island. Lots of cherry blossoms in the spring. Gorgeous. It's very different from Mainland Korea and the GEC is 30-40 minutes for any cities (Jeju City and Seogwipo) with nightlife/bars if that's what you are into. BHA (Along with St. Johnsbury and NLCS) are also all owner by a company called JEINS (what was once Haewul), a government contracted company to build and run schools that are ‘international’ but designed essentially to keep students in Korea. This company is the absolute worst. Had friends at both St. Johnsbury and NLCS and no one has ever said a good word about JEINS. KIS is the school in the GEC where teachers seemed happiest overall. IF I ever went back to Jeju (and that's a big IF), it would only be to work at KIS.
