HOPPA is seeking native-level English teachers for nursery schools in Kyoto and Shiga. Teachers provide engaging English lessons for young children in a friendly school environment. Larger schools have one or more English teachers, while teachers visit smaller schools approximately once per week so that all children can participate in English time.
English lessons run Monday to Friday. Saturday work is generally not required except for occasional special events or training. Monthly meetings allow English teachers to exchange ideas and plan upcoming activities.
Requirements:
• Native-level English
• Must currently reside in Japan
• Enthusiasm for early-childhood education
• Japanese fluency is not required
• Monthly salary: ¥230,000–¥250,000
• Training provided before independent teaching
• Monday–Friday English-teaching schedule
• Collaborative monthly teacher meetings
