Yoyogi International School is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Middle School Humanities Teacher for an immediate-hire, full-time position in Shibuya, Tokyo. The successful candidate will teach History and Geography in the Upper School (currently Grades 6–9), with other Humanities experience also considered. Responsibilities include developing new units and lesson plans as the school expands, ensuring vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment, delivering innovative differentiated inquiry-based learning, assessing students through formative and summative methods, providing meaningful feedback, communicating with parents, supporting safeguarding, supervising project-based learning and service work, serving as a homeroom advisor, and collaborating across the school community. Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (master’s preferred), teaching certification and relevant training. Previous Humanities teaching experience and familiarity with IB MYP and UK standards are highly desirable.
